Burners – Both of these gas grills use a U shaped Stainless Steel burner. The big difference between the two grill models is the BTUs per burner and the gauge (thickness) of the stainless steel. Twin Eagles BBQ has 25,000 BTU’s and 14 gauge steel versus Delta’s 15,500 BTU and 18 gauge steel. Both companies now offer a lifetime warranty on the burners themselves.
In addition, the Twin Eagles BBQ has zone area grilling, this allows you to create multiple heat zones to cook at different temperatures. Each burner has a divider between them that breaks the grill into various heat zones. This versatility of the different heat zones allows you to grill all zones at the same temperature level or regulate each zone separately for greater control.
Ignition – Twin Eagles BBQ’s uses a hot surface ignition powered by electricity. Delta Heat BBQ’s use a 9 volt battery powered ignition. Both Grills are operated by pressing the knob to ignite.
Heat Distribution System. Both Grills use ceramic briquette trays to distribute and radiate heat.
Cooking Grates – Twin Eagles BBQ uses hexagonal stainless steel rods in their grills. These grates have more mass than most grates including 3/8 inch round rods. The increased mass and surface area retains more heat and allows for more food to surface contact. Delta Heat BBQ uses the round rod grates.
Sear Zone Burner – This feature is optional on both grills. You can decide at a later time to add a sear burner kit if you like. This will give you the ability to interchange the U burner for the sear burner and vice versa. The sear burner is standard on the 54″ grill.
Infrared Rear Burner – The Rotisserie back burner is optional on both brands. The main difference is the motor is integrated into the firebox on the Twin versus having an external rotisserie motor on the Delta. The rotisserie back burner is standard in the 54″ grill and is not available as an option in the Delta Heat 26″ Grill.
So, which BBQ is the one for you? If you are looking for a commercial grade quality product then Twin Eagles BBQ is for you!
